The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has received a letter from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, inviting him to attend the third Arab Economic, Social and Development Summit, due in Riyadh on January 21 and 22.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received the note during his meeting on Sunday with the Saudi Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ibrahim bin Saad Al Brahim, who called on him here at the Presidential Palace to convey the greetings of King Abdullah.
In attendance at the meeting were General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Lt-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.
Shaikh Mohammed reciprocated the greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Also present were Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs; Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs; Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State; Lt-Gen Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol and guests.
